What we collect

Parsely does not require an account and does not collect personal information. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services.

How scanning works

When you scan a menu, the content (URL text, photo, or PDF) is sent to our server, which forwards it to the Anthropic Claude API for classification. The menu content is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.

Anthropic's data usage policy applies to content processed by their API. Parsely does not send any personal identifiers — only the menu content you provide.

Data stored in your browser

• Saved menus — stored in localStorage (up to 20 entries). Only on your device.
• Scan history — stored in localStorage (up to 50 entries). Only on your device.
• Current scan — stored in sessionStorage. Cleared when you close the tab.
• Theme preference — light/dark mode stored in localStorage.

No data leaves your browser except during an active scan. You can clear all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Third-party services

• Anthropic Claude API — processes menu content for dish classification.
• Google Fonts — loads Inter and Instrument Serif typefaces.
• Replit — hosting and serverless API endpoints.

No data sold

We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data. Period.
